Dyckia Picante and Dyckia brevifolia Izabel

Dyckia Picante is an American made Hybrid and a plant that have lost most of the ability
to cope with fierce sun. Scorching sun literally fries this plant. Maybe something went wrong with this hybrid. The succulent leaves boil in the summer sun. The plant is something like a solar heater. If you want to keep this plant healthy and in its pristine condition keep it away from the strong summer sun. Avoid sun from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
It is the only Dyckia I know that can not deal with the strong summer sunlight.
This is weird for a Dyckia. They love sun and the more the better.

Picante is a very beautiful plant and needs some special care concerning to
summer sunlight.
It clearly shows its Dyckia platyphylla heritage.
Here you can see a flower stalk emerging from the leaves close to the brevifolia.
