Dyckia hb Liz Taylor
... young a year old seedlings.

Dyckia hb Bleeding Heart made by myself....

I made this hybrid and now it is showing its face...getting colored....

Dyckia brevifolia cv Golden glow

It is so beautiful and so simple...magic!
It shows its best colors when summer is in its apogee.

Dyckia sickii
This is one of the few Amazonian species.
It comes from Southwest Pará and it is a reophytic species and one of the most
beautiful one. It is a extremely rare, colorful and small Dyckia species.

Dyckia goehringii

Dyckia goehringii
...and if you dare to compare.....

Dyckia goehringii X Dyckia pectinata
Two rarities in love produced this  dazzling beauty...

The stunning beautiful Dyckia delicata aurea...

Two super scaled hybrids....

Above a Bill Baker´s hipper scaled beauty..

Super scurfed plants always catch my eyes.
Scales protect the plant from burning its skin and are very good umidity catchers.

Below a Dyckia lindelvaldeae X Dyckia marnier-lapostollei Young seedling I myself made.

Dyckia beateae

Beateae is a warm loving species.

The first and the only Dyckia ibiramensis rubra !!!!!!!!

Dyckia ibiramensis rubra

Ibiramensis  is native to Ibirama in Santa Catarina.
It is reophytic plant and a rare one in nature.
I never saw one rubra nor have I heard about one...and ..and one germinated amid many, many, many
seeds. This is what we can say give nature a chance...
The plant does have the rubra information in its genetic code. In nature it rarely has a chance to sprout the normal looking ones imagine the rubra ones...

Isn´t it pretty?

Dyckia hb Son of Tarzan by Bill Baker

Dyckia hb Son of Tarzan is a Bill Baker piece...

Both Tarzan and Son of Tarzan are very proliferous in therms of sprouting.
...one can make many in a very short period of time.

Dyckia  fosteriana cv fosteriana fosteriana

Dyckia hb Liz Taylor
This is a year old seedling...Imagine how this is gong to look in another year...
I think this is bound to be one of the best looking Dyckia hybrid of all.
This is Dyckia  magnifica and Dyckia decicata rubra type.
It is a primary hybrid as both parents are species.
I still have some of the very seeds that produced Liz Taylor,
they have a 30% rate of germination.
I keep those seeds in the fridge and once there they last long long long.

Dyckia sp dussenii aff from Northeast Santa Catarina

Beautiful hybrids I made using  goehring and fosteriana.
The bowed down leaves are typical and peculiar and denotes  a hybrid goehring.
Curious enough all hybrids  whose mother is a gohering  show these bowed down leaves.
The plant we all see around as a true goehring is clear as crystal water a hybrid.
The real Dyckia goehring never bows dawn its leaves...

Dyckia hb Fantasma (ghost)

Dyckia hb Fantasma
This is a myself creation and here goheringii and fosteriana-fosteriana got together to show off
what the have of their very best....
This plant is a sight to behold. Here it is splitting head in an attempt to get even better looking. I like those opposing  dishes...
Notice the plant tries to form a ball, this is peculiar to all goehringii hybrids!!! I have  more than 15 different ones and all form balls. True Dyckia goehringii never, never form balls but all the hybrids where goehringii is the mother plant.

After the Summer shower the brevifolia Golden glow glow by the twilight....

Spectacular to say the very least....

These plants  show our two national colors.
This is not a hybrid. It is a cultivar  that appeared in California by the very first time...

Unnamed and non described Dyckia species from Santa Catarina.
Unbranched flower stem and conspicuous  big orange flowers.

Dyckia cv brevifolia Golden Glow

I never get bored from seeing it over and over again....

...a feast to the eyes...

Dyckia sp from Lagoão-RS
Unnamed and most probably a delicata affinis...
