Dyckia dystachia another reofitic Dyckia from Santa Catarina

Dyckia dystachia aurea

Rare in all senses and terms. Small and graceful bears big golden flowers.
Reofitic means the plant lives so close to running white waters it stays
underwater for weeks during flooding times.
Floods are not seasonal here. They may occur any time.
Dyckia brevifolia, Dyckia ibiramensis and Dyckia dystachia are all
Reofitic Dyckias. They are rock dwellers and these rocks may be tight in the middle of the stream and ever close to the water. Meanwhile they are not all the time with their roots wet and soaked. Most of the time they are as any other Dyckia.
