Little gems on the rocks in the Northeastern Santa Catarina.

..."once on a high and windy hill"...
in the morning mist...
It was my turn to stand still.

Yes, like in that old and charming American tune
the morning air was fogged and the mist formed drops of shinning diamonds
hanging from the slender and fragile grass seed spikes.
Mildly cold, the rising sun suspended the mist and there...
there they were.
Babies? Young plants all over the turtle like rock?
No. They are flowering and a closer look revealed decades old trunks.
They were a small new Dyckia species,
never mentioned, never, anywhere...
A gift..
Magic.
Perfection.
The flock of parrots crossed in a hurry the blue sky loudly crying an yelling hurrying me to see the splendour of the moment.
I must shut up my thinking easy my mind and drink of the beauty and feed my soul...
There must be...
there must be...
there must be Light....
..and the Light was done!!

  1. Sheer poetry! I want one in seeds! Is it ever on a seed list? And what name would be given it?
