Dyckia disthachia rubra

Another reofitic plant ( thrives on river bank, in this case thrives on rocks amid white running water). All D. disthachia have special behavior, they flip down their older leaves and this suspends the entire plant, lifting it up. This allows the plant to stay some more time out of the water when the river floods.
This form is the biggest of all disthachias and the most hardly known. Bears yellow flowers and it is also native to Santa Catarina.
