Dyckia reitzii

Dyckia reitzii
For the enthusiast this is one of the most beautiful Dyckia species.
Native to the highest points of South it is never found below 1.200 meters above sea level.
This is a mountain dweller that faces very cold nights and even colder winds.
In one of its habitat was registered the lowest known Brazilian record
-18.6 degrees Centigrade.
Keep the plant at this temperature for longer than some few hours and you will freeze dry out your plant.
Dyckias, no matter where they are from the enjoy the same temperature as you do.
Nothing well apart from 16 to 26 degrees Centigrade. Something away from these and they begin to suffer and that is for sure no doubt.
