Dyckia julianae or......

Here you may see some very interesting things:
- The tall flower spike of this gracious Dyckia.
- That far away mountain. It is 1456 meters high
It is The Jurapê Mountain. When I was much younger than today
I climbed that mountain. It took us a whole day climbing amid
luxuriant tropical rain forest. We camped on top of it.
I t took us another day to get down the mountain.
Today? Only with a chopper.
Yes there are Dyckias there: Dyckia monticola, many amarilidaceas, sinningias, orchids like the Sophronites and many many other wonders. We found the trail of the tapirs and traces of a jaguar. Twenty years ago!
This plant has the flowers of a Dyckia chorestaminea and
the flower stick of a Dyckia hebdingii.
It well may be a natural hybrid.
