Dyckia breviolia

Dyckia brevifolia
holitype

Dyckia brevifoia grows as a reofitic plant close to The waters of The Itajaí River. This river is entirely within Santa Catarina territory, it is born and reaches the Atlantic Ocean while in Santa Catarina. Dyckia brevifolia growns from Salto Pilão to Blumenau always on the rocks close to the white river waters.
This is a magnificent plant. Estheticly good looking one.
This specie was one of the fist to cross the Ocean and today it is extremely difficult to see any pure Dyckia brevifolia anywhere out South Brazil. Even in my country people use to point to a goat and say look at my pretty zebra.
So this is Dyckia brevifolia and there is just some very minor differences among brevifolias. So small only a skilled botanist would tell apart.
The only easily noted difference among brevifolias lay on Dyckia brevifolia Izabel. This variety is bigger in every aspect, leaves, flowers and so on and its flowers are a deeper yellow.
