Adult Dyckia reitzii all known form

This plant is in my garden and today early morning pictured.
It is still dew covered.
This plant can assume a much richer red color.

Bloming!

Dyckia reitzii type form
Well fed plants are much bigger and present  wider leaves.
The pattern is the very same.

This is a new and recently found Dyckia reitzii.
The white form may have derived from this one form.
The white lines on the leaf edges are a apparatus the plant evolution created to turn the plant apt to better cope with the high altitude rich UV radiation. The higher number of leaves also helps the plant to cope with UV rays, wind and cold. this plant here was found above 1.500 meters.
It differs from the other already know reitzi rubra! It is a brand new found one!
Dyckias? We barely begun to understand them! We just lift a tip of the veil the covers them!!
This plant here is notable and special in may many many ways!
It is a leftover, a living dodo!
