Dyckia coximensis
Coxim is a small twon in Mato Grosso do sul and also a river. This plant was found close to this river
by the catholic priest Raulino Reitz.
The river has changed its course many times due to gold minering and the palnt was neve found in nature and also under cultivation in Brazil.
We have in itajaí, Santa Catarina one excicata and this is what we have!!
Pe. Raulino Reitz had a close friend and a botanis is florida and the two of them traded knowledge and living plants. thisone came from USA!
this is the only known livingf Dyckia coximensis in Brazil.
