It is spring time in Joinville: the daylillies are back.

Yesterday, Sunday light rain and  a stroll in Agrícola da Ilha where agapanthus and hemerocallis live
and bloom. Who would not love those flowers?

These are daylillies.
Here they require a tremendous amount of pesticides in order to grow fine and happy.
It seems all sort of  bugs love daylillies.

These plants won´t go if cultivated where there is no winter.
They need to rest during cold days or they go stressed and die exactly as Dyckia reitzii and some other
species  from South in Brazil, notably those that are mountain dwellers.

Those who live where we must to wear coats during winter days can cultivate these beauties.
Here we say: if you do not need a heater you won´t grow daylillies.
