Dyckia hb Alegria (joy)
Alegria means joy. It is a Portuguese word, the language we Brazilian speak.
It is a beautiful word, very musical and soft to our ears.
Alegria was made by Dr. Robson Lopes in Espírito Santo and named by me.
Dyckia hb Alegria is Dyckia lindelvaldeae and Dyckia monticola.
Two rarities got together to produce a masterpiece.
These plants are not in good conditions and not properly cultivated as they need total protection against wind and rain. Even the wind remove the thick loose scale layer.
No other Dyckia I know species or hybrid is so richly coated.
The scale coat is so thick if you blow on it it goes loose and go away with the wind.
This plant is a luxury!!
