This plant is impressing me to the most.
This last month it has undergone quite an impressive transformation and colored up wonderfully.
In nature this plant presents huge black deep blue spines with white furred basis.
...and now something I never told here before `cause I can´t find the pictures I took and maybe they
are lost forever amid my pictures archives.
This is the only Dyckia know to be "viviparous". I mean not stoloniferous.
It emits a special root, apparently equal to the other roots in all respects but....
but it makes something no one will ever believe if not seeing with his own eyes:
that root begins a new plant and from that small plant another root begins another small plant
and it goes on like a rosary.
This is quite amazing! Never this behaviour was seen in a Dyckia.
Dyckia stolonifera I keep myself and it make stolons not a thin strand like root with
plantlets like the beads of a rosary. This one does!
I do not know how long it takes for a plant to do that. Mine is still a young one and it is ready to emit a flower stalk now. This is why it is getting so fiercely colored and of course our Summer has just begun.
So guys, when I say we barely began to unfold the blanket of ignorance on Dyckias I mean it for sure.
