Above a Dyckia field  Northeast in Santa Catarina.
Notice the huge rock.
The scenery is spectacular.
Here we are some 1.000 meters above sea level.
Frosts and also some snow are here seen once in a while.

We are going to lift up this Dyckia clump to show you how is there below...


The clump is lifted as a whole and the moss carpet and all the substrate made of organic debris
comes altogether.


Look the humidity dark spot there below.



The rock is solit granite.
I hope this sort of picture helps  one to understand how dyckias dwell in nature.
