This is an old plant, you can spot the scar of the old flower stalks.
Dyckias won´t loose the axils of their old dried out leaves.
This is a protection against the fires. Dyckia can cope quite well with fast fires.
The real trunk lies within this axils, leave remains, and it is very sensitive and delicate.
