Dyckia fosteriana -Sengés in wilderness

THE GRASSES AND SOME SMALL TREES ARE ALREADY THERE, IN TIME THESE PLANTS WILL DIE. DYCKIAS ARE COLONIZER PLANTS. THEY BRING THE BUSHES TO THE ROCKS. THEY PREPARE THE TERRAIN FOR THE TREES AND ONCE THE TREES GET THERE DYCKIA DIE IN SHADOW.

Fosterianas are really very mimetic plants.

The green fosteriana is the rarest.
Just this opne was seen there.

Dyckia fosteriana is star looking and all of them are a sight to behold in mind.

The rock bed is arenitic. Here some plants grow in a rock crevice.

Each group of plants is a different one. These are black and white.

Below a magnificent white one perched on the rock.

A group of plants.
How many different looking ones can you spot here?

Some are intense white
and some are a so mimetic one hardly spots them.

Here I am. See the gigantic eucalyptus plantations over there...
They are there to feed an even more gigantic paper industry.
The Dyckias are left due to the fact they are on top of a rocky hill

Below, isn´t it cute?

A beautiful white clump, each plant is a head division resulted clone.

A very old arenitic rock.

The dead dried grass was frost covered several times in the last fifteen days.

What a clump!

The top of the hill
