Dyckia goehringii
this is a spectacular plant to say the least, the very least and as all the gorgeous ones it has imitators and fakes all over. There are many seems to be but look here.

Money seems to play a huge amount of difference when we talk about rare and stunning beautiful Dyckias.
We know too little about them and many species are still to be shown to the mortals as us and are not described.Many errors are seem in many scientific descriptions and some descriptor never set a foot in Brazil.
This makes Dyckias a fair field for fakes....
Recently the market was flooded by marvelous hybrids and in fact most beautiful plants but not true ones Dyckia goehringii. Hybrid Dyckia goehring in almost a 100% of the cases tend to make plants looking like a wig with all its leaves forming a kind of a bowl ´cause they are arched or bent down.
This is never seen on a true one Dyckia goehringii.
These last days I posted many hybrids I myself made using goehringii and all of them have wig like structures.
