Dyckia beateae is in fact a multi-faced species....

Yes,Dyckia beateae is not a single plant and a species of just one faced member.
There exist at least four known populations in wilderness and every  one differs somewhat from the other.
The most beautiful and collored is a rock dweller. thi splant can be sole red all over and it is rare
and hard to be seen somewhere else than Brazil.


It is a smaller and much colorful plant, a must have no doubt....


The folowing plant is a representative of a population close to the above one and the most easely seem Dyckia beateae outside Brazil.
It is a sand dweller and a more robust plant and it never gets red.


The plant below is a dark one and just recently found.
It grows on sand near Barra do Garças In Mato Grosso.
This is a smaller then the above plant.
