Dyckia encholirioides var. spinosissima

Dyckia encholirioides var. spinosissima

Being half the size of a Dyckia encholirioides type the variety spinosissima
is a truly spectacular plant.
Dense in its foliage and spination it out stands amid the normal
Dyckia encholirioides.

These variations in a population is a way Mother nature helps a species to face
the environment changes. Without such variations a species composed by just
one kind of individuals would be helpless and lost forever.
Any perfect creature, the perfectly adapted to its environment is lost and will
disappear the moment the environment changes.
Perfection in nature is a multitude of imperfection a vast legion of slightly different individuals,
the odd and weird ones.
If a species faces future with an army of the very same individuals this species won´t far.
This perfection would be lost forever in a very short time ´cause any environment is at constant and continuous changing.

In nature when we find a new population of Dyckia or a new species or a new place with an old known species we search for the weird or odd looking ones. Most probably these are the most beautiful ones. These special plants are always intriguing and we know them as tickets to the future to a determined species.
