Dyckia lindelvaldeae

Dyckia lindelvaldeae

This is a small plant. Its scales are coarse and so intense and numerous
they get lose and fall to the center of the crown. If water or the wind does not
remove them it turns into something quite impressive and looks exactly as
soft, dry snow. No other Dyckia has so much and so coarse trichomas.
Native to our Central Cerrado.
Impressive!
This is a living jewel.
Its flowers are bad scented and it is a very poor seed maker and does not
self fertilize.
..as Dyckia it never melts nor dies after each blooming, on the contrary it gets prettier and prettier.
