Dyckia fosteriana

We are getting to know Dyckia fosteriana is not one single Dyckia species but a group of
Dyckia varieties. In fact this group has many more components than it was supposed once have.
Some may be reddish, some deep silver, some big and some smaller than small. All of them being more than beautiful plants. Above we have a group of Dyckia fosteriana and anyone can devise some differences and looks.
If someone asked me which would be my only one Dyckia species I would say without any doubt my preferred only one Dyckia is Dyckia fosteriana.
This group alone deserves a better understanding and a deeper and serious study. In nature the Fosteriana gene appear in São Paulo State close to Paraná North frontier and goes down till
the Northernmost Santa Catarina frontier. It comprises the third Eastern part of Paraná State
from the North frontier to the border with Santa Catarina.
Some Dyckia fosteriana are so white and deep rich coated with white/silver trichomas they look like a fancy fake and not a real plant.
