Dyckia joanae-marcioi

Dyckia joanae-marcioi

Dyckia joanae-marcioi

This is a recently named Brazilian Cerrado Dyckia.
Central Brazil Cerrado holds many more beauties and some we have
never seen. Dyckias are a bit safer in the Cerrado for they are rock dwellers and
crops do not prosper on rocks and on the rocks there is no soil to be corrected.
The Cerrado has been transformed in a great crop and even those plants that lives on rocks and hills are at risk of being vanished from Earth most before being known.
Soy, sugar cane, corn and cotton are the most usual cultures but nothing compares to soy bean crops. Your eyes will never devise the end of them. They go from horizon to horizon.
Soy is used in many human activities. Confined milking cows in Europe and elsewhere feed on South American soy. During winter and year around they mange on a protein rich food and nothing is as cheap nor as available as tropical soy. Soy has all the amino acids the animal uses to make milk and meat.
Soy is extensively used to be transformed into flesh or milk around the world.
Sometimes in between crops the land is left nude. In dry times the wind blows dust, red dust to hundred of kilometers away. The skies turn int red as those sand tempests that carry Sahara sands into Rome. Milk or meat do not hang from trees like an apple.
The milking cows live in Europe but the sequels they leave behind lays in our Central Cerrado region, land of the most beautiful and rare Dyckias.
..or what do you thing those super living milking machines feed on during winter times?
Plain grass, hay? They would be as thin as those in India and would not produce close to a hundred liters a day in fine milk on a diet of hay and grass!
One of the finest, brilliant and practical ideas to preserve Dyckias begins in your kitchen and on the dinning table of yours.
Eat less milk and dairy and feed not on flesh.
A green mind may result in a green attitude o0r it is useless and worth for nothing.
Have you seen our confined cattle farms or the American ones?
You should see how those farms work. They are a Dante´s vision o inferno.
They are all in Cerrado and I am absolutely sure you will vomit
next time you are invited to a barbecue.
Words are useless without the actions and attitude they need to
be valid.
