Dyckia fosteriana cv fosteriana fosteriana Star of Brazil

This is one the most spectacular  Dyckia cultivars I´ve seen.
This is a fosteriana-fosteriana cross and an individual plant selected amid
many  other seedlings.
I used two regional and different Dyckia fosteriana as parents.


Many, many seeds I sent for free to many people around the world.
It was a pleasure and a honor to me to spread the beautiful and rare Dyckias around the world.
Many Dyckia lovers can testify this, many!
Until December 2011 I never sold any seed.
I gave them for free.


During part of the year of 2009 and all of 2010 and 2011 I sent seeds most
exclusively to a one guy only in USA.
I was supposed to get part of the profits from the selling of the plants those seeds would produce.
I only sent seeds abroad to other people and Dyckia lovers after sending him the seeds and he would then share the seeds under my request to the people who I desired to send them.
Fosteriana Christmas  seeds was so distributed by him in my name.


Well, my surprise was so I was mesmerized when I saw plants from my seeds being offered on Ebay and so by the very same guy I had a deal with.
The main  of his concern was the delicatas to be pure strain so he could get more money from them.
I never received a dime from this guy and when I asked what was going on the answer was I was the one who owed him money. Imagine I sent the seeds and owed money to this guy.

Now he accuses me of being money hunter, can it be?
Who is the money hunter and also the one who makes it on me?
All in a Dyckia forum I am not anymore there and I myself helped to create.
(He and another guy I refused his "help" and assitance for my English grammar skills and not listened his appealing approaches for free seeds.)

This was November 2011 and I stopped the sending, closed the tap, halted the flow of free seeds.
I made another decision:
 Sell myself the best Dyckia seeds man can produce and the most comprehensive, abrangent and updated Dyckia seed list in the world.
Never in history Dyckia lovers had so many options, never!

To amaze us all some of the people who got seeds for absolutely nothing asks for purity and quality of the seeds when them themselves are the living proof of this.

 That other guy from USA offered his English skills in exchange for seeds and insisted on this many times.
 He even rewrote a text of mine in order to convince me of his skills as a linguist specialist on the Shakespearian vernacule.
I am aware now that this person speaks only English and he is not any expert or an authority on the subject.
It is not enough to be a English speaker to be an expert on the subject or an authority in this issue.
I thanked him and said I would like people notice I am Brazilian and also English is not my first language.
This guy asked me for seeds and went desperate when he realized he could not afford for the seeds value.

Now these two guys found home and shelter for their rage and evil arguments in an Internet Forum I myself helped to create and named it (the name was changed lately).
Well they judge themselves as experts in Dyckias specialized in delicata.

... but none of them ever set a foot in Brazil or anywhere else where we can find Dyckias in wilderness. Maybe they never ever heard a word in Portuguese and do not know the sound of it but maybe in some songs Brazilian as "Garota de Ipanema".
How dare them!

One, the one who sells  plants from my seeds has less than three years  in Dyckias management and keeping!
What a "vast" knowledge! A truly Dyckia connoisseur! A stunning and trustable amount of knowledge.
What a stunning brilliant minde one!

Dyckias are very exclusive plants and even me or any people on Earth are not well acquainted to them to be taken as an expert, a Dyckia expert.
The more I know about Dyckias the more I realize we know just to few and the gigantic part of the knowing is still to be achieved. We all barely began to know them.
I am a 58 years old Brazilian retired dentist and I have dealt with Dyckias since I was a child!!!!
 I can say we just know less than 20% of what lies still to be known on Dyckias.

I am a good Portuguese speaker and writer and I can perform some communication in English,German,Spanish, French, Italian ...and would be pleased to manage to speak  Thai, Chinese and Japanese half bad as I speak English.

I do know many of the botanic assumptions and laws are not easily and comfortable applied to Dyckias and that is why they surprise us all all the time.
As for delicatas, they were only saw abroad by one only small and low quality old picture of a single plant before I showed them to the world.
I guided German and American guys to some photographic trips to the delicata habitat. I myself had no camera at those times. But one can see me there by these guys pictures.
I will make another trip, a photographic one to there.
 Delicatas are  some 600km away from my home and it requires some planning in advance. I can´t go there alone, it is risky in many ways.
This time I have a camera, a camera I bought with the money from Dyckia seeds honestly selling.
I would like to have an even better one but this is not possible. I went to a photography course here and I am a better picture taker now (not a photographer!)

I am dreaming of a Nikon macro lens, one tele objective I already own and I will have a macro  in some months to come in spite of these migger minded guys.
