A close look at Dyckia hebdingii home in nature.

Dyckia hebdingii lives here....South in Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul.
Dyckias share habitat with cacti and some other interesting plants.
The palm below is Butia ariospatha a native palm tree thar bears edible fruits.

The stones are ever present in Dyckia hebdingii habitats.
This local here is the habitat type form.
Dyckia hebdingii grows in an charcoal mining area and now most of the land has being used for Eucalyptus plantation for the paper industry.

Me, this fat strange guy....and Dyckia hebdingii in wilderness...a fresh cold and sunny winter day.
Colunar cacti and others could  be seen sharing habitat with  Dyckia hebdingii.

Notice the charming cactus in front of this Dyckia group.

Those clumps are always facing North in nature. This means facing the sun.
In Southern hemisphere north is the sunny spot.....

Insn´t this  spectacular?
