Dyckia sp hebdingii related or Dyckia sp hebdingii affinis grandis habitat

Here you can see some pictures of this wonderful Dyckia hebdingii variety habitat.
Some years ago I was told by a local farmer all plants around his house was removed
and dumped into a pond to destroy them as they would harm his children. We were also told some
individuals were alive  well within his lands. In fact we found some half a dozen of them at that time and now during this journey we found a gorgeous and pristine new location and a vigorous well fixed comunity. This time the land owner is a young and gentle farmer who is well  known of the value and rarity of these plants. This young farmer was tremendously gentle and attentions with us.Definitely the plant is safe in there and this occurrence made us all very happy.
This plant is among the most beautiful Dyckia I saw  to this very day!!
TYhe region is a labitinth with many dirt roads and only a skilled and well acquanted guide can get you thereand even so directions are needed to be asked  once there.
The hebdingii type form occurs some kilometers  apart from this local.

Dyckia are growing on a moss rug and the shrubs are sharing  the same spot.
Notice the huge bare rock surface. This is a top of a hill or a top of a huge rock.

The climbing was  a  very rough pone but...what a reward once we are there!

Yes, some Dyckia individuals are less blue white and have less frosting.

Mr. Steven Frieze, a Bill Baker and Steve Ball close friend was the guy who provided the means for us to be there..a man of power, wisdom and a tremendous love for the xerics.
It was mid afternoon and we could have spent the whole day in there...
The weather could not had being better...

Now look straight, you will spot cacti growing there and what a beautiful cactus!
A paradise for the xeric lover.

We were high...high in heaven! Oh sure we were.
I am having now photography classes and with a better camera and some photographic
more skills I wish to get back there ....
