Dyckia hebdingii in nature

Dyckia hebdingii in nature in Arroio dos Ratos- Rio Grande do Sul.

This pictures show clearly the kind of place they choose to live. Dyckias here get all the best in nutrition from
everywhere. Their substrate is rich and nutritious they love water but it can not stay but just pass by.
Good drainage and rich aerated substrate.
Notice the spot has no shadow at all and the stone surface is rich in lichens and algeae.
Also notice the cacti sharing habitat with Dyckias.

These pictures were takenby a friend who shares the love for the native xeric plants.
