This beautifull and super succulent plant was found in Northeast Minas Gerais as a mountain dweller.
No Dyckia marnier-lapostollei was ever found in that area so this may be just a Dyckia marnier-lapostollei affinis new species or a totally new species or just a one more regional Dyckia marnier-lapostollei variety.
If the last option reveals to be the true one it is the closest to the sea variety of Dyckia marnier-lapostollei in spite of being far way from the sea.
We´ve learned almost everything is possible when we deal with Dyckias.
In my opinion this here is a brand new species and not just a marnier-lapostollei variety.
We are still to see the flowers.
