Dyckia fosteriana - Paraná

Real! Real and true species!

Dyckia fosteriana - Paraná
True species and two secrets:

Do you want your fosteriana lookning this way?
Easy! First secret: Have true species!

Second secret: Never hose them!!!!!!!!Never!!
Never spray them!!! Use those thin long nosed water dropper.
Water washes the silver away!

Look at these ones here... what do you think?
Enlarge the pics, travel on the images.......

When young seedlings they look like an ice crown...

I am showing them again just for the delight of acting differently.
Some Dyckias we hardly find a note on it, a picture when existing...you know how.
Some you ought to believe in fairy tales to recognize as Dyckia in there.
I believe in images. They show us a low, tell us a lot, teach us a lot.
Of course they also may elude us but just in some cases.
Do it again, doing it over and over makes the point and any point a bit more clear.
True Dyckia fosteriana are rare plants, very rare in fact.
They are rare here there and everywhere.

Ah... they can get much more beautiful then this.
I gave three plants to a very old woman who liked plants, was fond of ornamental plants and had thousands of them and she also loved me. She used to say to me in perfect German: I do as you tell me in everything with my plants and a bit of my own.
What a bit was that!
Her three Dyckia fosteriana plants were the best kept ones I saw in my entire life.
They were white all over and big! Half a meter in diameter and when they bloomed they each emitted three spikes more than a meter high.
They were her proud.
She said more than one time: My friend I will tell you my secret. I will tell you and I won´t tell anybody else. Tell nobody: I adore my plants! I adore them. It is not a sin ´cause they were sent from the Heavens to me. I adore them. I try to think as they might. I keep on imagining what would be the best for them. I do not talk to them, this would be insane but I kiss them. I wake up in the night to see them. I wake up when the stars are in the sky shinning to me. Ah it is so good the fresh air in my face...... first thing in the break of the light, I go there, there where they are and we have a long deep talk.
Frau Mause, my friend, I miss you and I will keep your secret...have beautiful Dyckias there in Paradise and do not tell you secret to any angel...
