From Lagoão region in Rio Grande do Sul this wonderful Dyckia species may present
some relation to the delicatas in sipe its spines being  hard instead of soft as in delicatas.
This magnificent plant may be seen in many shades of green, chestnut color, red and wine and
darker than this here in more or less intense silver dusting.
It is a fantastic ornamental plant.
In nature it is seen in clusters with no more than a very few individuals and the isolated  solitary plants are all breathtakingly beautiful.
