Dyckia goehringii a plant for the connoisseur.

Born to be beautiful and rare.
Non self fertile as most plants from the Cerrado area.
This one needs a bit of nocturnal coldness to feel at home and the most scorching Sun.
If this two  cultivation hints is not achieved the plant stretches and gets deformed.
This is a mountain dweller and the temperature must drop at night considerably and rises by the day time.
The difference between night time and the nocturnal temperatures may be more then 20 degrees centigrades as the plant freezes in  many winter nights but do not go on thinking it can stand temperatures to make a polar bear feels at easy. This plant needs freezing temperatures for some of the winter nights and  the Sun gets all warmed up early in the morning.
Without this the plant turns into just a mock of what it really is.
It sprouts laterally easily but it takes at least a year and a half for the clones to get their own roots.
A plant for the connoisseur.
