Here it is emitting flower spike.
It takes five months for the fruits to get ripe and seed to be ready for harvest.

This plant is now recognized to have a broad distribution range.
It occurs in Bahia, Minas Gerais, Goiás.
It is scattered in small populations throught these three Brazilian states and geographic variations are common.
This broad leaved ones seem to come from Southeastern Bahia.



A classic plant and everybody loves it



Look closer, the species uses to clone itself promptly.
