This huge mass of brevifolia is all the very same plant. This is the result of head division and a typical way Dyckias have to duplicate themselves. They are all identical twins and have the very same DNA.
The original plant was, found by my mother, freed from the rock it lived on by a huge flood in Rio Itajaí river at he beginning of 70 years last century.
Bellow we see Dyckia brevifolia var. subidensis I collected in early 90 years.
Seeds are all and each a miracle. They guard evoluted beings. From seeds come novelties, plants fresh and new to our eyes.
Another point, I praise huge pots for Dyckias. Brevifolias do not do this in tiny black plastic pots.
Dyckias as every being on Earth need freedom to show beauty
