I live in Santa Catarina Brazil and it can be very cold, and dyckias here just love some snow.

A August landscape, a view from  our State Capital, Florianópolis.

Above: the three Pic Mountain in Rio do Sul.
Dyckia riosulensis lives exactly here.

Bellow:
Way to the Pic!

We from South are seen this way by the others ...

By the see in our State capital.

Our Brazilian Pine trees.

...Brazil is so vast
Contrary to Canada, Russia, China also huge countries, we can live anywhere in the country for we have no deserts and every square cm in our territory is  fertile year around.
"Brazil is the fifth largest country in the world, trailing only Russia, Canada, China, and the U.S., in that order. In fact, all of the continental U.S. could fit inside Brazil with room to spare, just as all the countries in the European Union could easily fit inside Brazil. It is its large scale that gives Brazil its varied landscape. Occupying more than half of South America, Brazil is a fascinating place to visit."
