Dyckia encholirioides var. spinosissima
Here Rene Rau a friend of mine and neighbour doing the necessary cleaning.
More than a friend, a brave man.
Cleaning a Dyckia sometimes require, knowledge, skills, courage and a bit of boldness.
Dyckias...These creatures of the Light are mostly Brazilian. Many of them are still to be seen by the very first time. Come on in. Let us see some. This Blog was created to show you the plants in my garden and also help you to keep happier Dyckias. This is the beginning of the book:THE ALLURING DYCKIAS. I may share some seeds with you. This way we help Dyckias to be known, understood and cherished. Email me at: constantinog@terra.com.br Constantino Gastaldi -Brazil ... 55-47-3425-8085
Seeing the metal bar, that the trunk is resting on, gave me a great idea. I have a big Aloe ferox that needs support, and a decorative welded 3/4 circle (with an open end to allow application) could work and also add visual interest. I love the look of rusted iron. Thanks for the photos and the info about the need for FRESH seed.
