These two plants were absolutely equal and showed the very same look.
Then the plant to the left decided to divide head profusely and look,notice the difference in their leaves.
The one to the left, the one that went almost crested so plenty full was its head divisions got back to its juvenile leaves. Compare both plants.
Without means to compare one would believe the plant to the left presented normal adult looking leaves and this is not true. Some Dyckias present notably differences when young, juvenile and adult.
One would take these two plants as different species or varieties and positively they belong to the very same species and variety.
