Dyckia beateae in his homeland Mato Grosso

Dyckia beateae
This plant is supposed to be intirely red when under the Sun it likes best.
Here it is in Cuiabá in Mato Grosso under the care of my frien the biologist and botanist Adarilda
Benelli. Pictures are hers.

If you do not live  in the Tropics you will need artificial lights almost year round to achieve these results.
In Joinville when the plant is getting red the Autumn shorter days come and the plant gets yellowish with just  tiny reddish center.
