Dyckia julianae
This is a charming small plant that grows within
The Gaucho Dyckia Triangle.
The Southernmost Dyckia Complex.
Flowers are yellow and always just a few of them
attached to a very slender flower spike.

Here we have some very similar Dyckia species and maybe they are
all affinis type plants. This means they are all relative.
Dyckia hebdingii, Dyckia julianae, Dyckia domfelicianensis to name some.
Science took them all by separated species.
This one here was named honoring the researcher´s beloved daughter
This Dyckia complex comprises the area within three very small towns in
Rio Grande do Sul. All with less than 10,000 souls. It is a coal mining area and also devastated
for large plantations of eucalyptus, Acacia nigra and Pinus.
Arroio dos Ratos, Dom Feliciano and Barão doTriunfo are those villages.
