Dyckia companion

Hechtia rosea affinis

The plant is the most plastic one.
Notice how the leaves make laps and overlaps.
It looks so surreal....

Mexico! Arriba Muchachos! Muy hermoso, muy lindo de todo.
This is a Hechtia rosea affinis from Mexico.
Hechtias are terrestrial bromeliads from the North Hemisphere.

See how plastic this plant is and how beautiful and absolutely different are its looks.
The much succulent leaves seem were traced by an artist.
One leaf goes up and to the right while the other goes down and to the left.
Another leaf swirls and another makes a giant round lap,
while the other is a giant "S". This is a very artistic plant indeed.

Frida Khalo would be pleased to paint this baby. She loved plants and adored Mexico and its people and its plants. She loved the cacti and the Agaves and for sure would have fallen in love
for this plant.
