From Northeastern Santa Catarina

Yes, this is a species. New, fresh and unnamed.
It get even more red that this and spends the summer in deep green.
It comes from a cold mountain region where all nights are cool.
This is not a rubra nor red form.
The plant changes color according to the season. Yes the leaves do not fall in winter.
The under leaves are always much scaled and beautiful.
In very hot summer days the plant uprights the leaves in order to reflect the scorching sun rays and protect the growing center of the rosette.
