Dyckia brevifolia

Dyckia brevifolia is a reofitic species.
Here you see one Dyckia fosteriana-Sengés, the silver one and
a neophythum just to lend color.
The bigger Dyckia brevifolia is the natural variety Izabel.
Found in 1983 just after a Terrible flood of the mighty Itajaí-açu River.
The plant appeared adrift in our particular river beach.
It flowers during autumn while Dyckia brevifolia flowers in spring.

Dyckia brevifolia
Maybe the most classic of all dyckia species.
Dyckia brevifolia Izabel flowers during Fall and no one know its habitat.
Some say it comes from upstream in Salto Pilão and Rio do Sul in Santa Catarina.
