This is a bombastic new amid Dyckia lovers. It took me ten years to show you this.

OLD OLD OLD AND YET NEW

Dyckia argentea?

For now I can tell this is a marvel, a long long lost described one and also a long lost one.

Botanists took it as an invalid description due the plant was never found in nature. Also some inconsistency were found there.

Even the name was put in a trash basket.

No one ever showed the plant.

Its place or supposed place in nature was destroyed with immense extensive horizon to horizon sugar cane plantation.

Then one day I´ve got pictures and a question what is this?

I got goosebumps immediately. I got weak legs when the guy revealed the place and how it was found.

A small island was left untouched in the meddle of a huge sugar cane plantation. The small piece of land was a small rocky elavation and the agriculture machinery didn´t touched it.....

(I will continue from this point as soon I recieve license to publish more.)

...now continuing

All these pictures present two plants under cultivation in a sugar plantation company  preservation garden which lands those plants were found.

This beautiful small group of plants was found by the environment technician hired by this sugar cane company Senhor Márcio Roberto Olivier.

It was the 2000 year.

The local is well hidden in the municipality

of Itarumã, southern in Goiás, Brazil central area.

What a saga!
Till something new and better said this is

Dyckia argentea!

To prove not everything is fine and fair all the time look this clump just eaten by a stray hungry cow.
It will survive and we shall have seeds.

One flower stalk was left uneaten.
