Dyckia encholirioides multispina

Dyckia encholirioides multispina

This is native to the some very restricted spots in northeastern Santa Catarina
Coast shore line.
It is a sand dweller, never found on rocks.
Smaller the the type Dyckia enclolirioides and as the name reveals
bears many more spines or the spines are closer to each other.
Also the Flower stalks are shorter and the flowers are yellow, canary yellow and the petal are bigger than the petals of the type flower.
In my opinion this is even more beautiful then the type form of Dyckia encholirioides.
The trunks of this plants are even thicker than the type species.
Maybe this is a total brand new species.

  1. Does this species produce leaves almost yellow? A local greenhouse seems to have some that are currently.
