Dyckia cabrerae red form
Native to the west of Santa Catarina this species is rare and hard to keep as it is prune
to fungus attack. It is used to cold winters wit h many nights of freezing cold temperatures.
It a a ribbon leaved species. This is the even rarer red form.
This baby is 400 kilometres East from it native quarters and never bloomed here.
Something is missed in its cultivation. May the different altitude here we are sea leveled and in the West it was 900 m high.
It produces conspicuous orange flowers in a slightly branched flower spike.
