Dyckia delicata



These precious gems must be inclined and not up righted when in culture.
Water held in the crown may literally kill the plant.
In nature Dyckias are rarely up righted.



There is another vital reason to incline Dyckias when planting them.
Dyckias rely on the wind to bring nutrients. These nutrients are catch by the stomata of the under leaves surfaces. So the plant rely on the wind to get nourishment.
If you up right the plant it turns impossible to leaf feed the plant as it just feeds by the undersideof the leaves.
