Dyckia fosteriana nivosa - Lapa-PR

Dyckia fosteriana nivosa

It seems the plant is covered by soft snow.
This effect comes from the fact that the older leaves have their
silver/white scales removed by the rain water.
It is a very small fosteriana natural variety.
This variety is not yet formally named.
I think this name is better than honoring anyone no matter who.
Nivosa means snowy.

this variety was found in Lapa in Paraná state in Brazil.
This charming historical and well preserved town is one
of the prettiest of Brazil. Also it is a cold region.
The plant was found on a rocky outcrop amid a fig plantation.
The population, only one known up today, is a well guarded one.
