Dyckia delicata var. aurea

Smaller then the type form it grows on the very same  stone vertical wall as the type form

but way above the type population.

Simple, drab mortal souls can only spot them from the distance.

This one was collected by a  young and skilled Brazilian alpinist and botanist.

This is most probably the rarest of the plants in my collection and one of the prettiest.

Maybe all the delicatas we know derived from this one as it is the top one on that slope.

In fact we know almost anything about Dyckias. The knowledge we have is too formal, too generalized,

too weak and thin....
