Dyckia ibiramensis

Dyckia ibiramensis

Dyckia ibiramensis was described by Pe. Raulino Reitz and its description is a perfect Latin lesson as Father  Raulino was master in Latin.
This plant is a rarity in nature as it is found in just a very restricted area close by the river
Itajaí do Norte in Ibirama - Santa Catarina.
The plant is a reofitic one as brevifolia.
there is anew form just found close to the small town of Dalbérgia a bit more upper stream.
This year I will make some planned hybrids here. The first using  ibiramensis as bases or mother plant.
I sent many true seeds of it abroad some years ago and I am very happy spotting it once in a while in the net.
