Dyckia goehringii
Yes, gorgeous! Yes true species!
Yes, Brazilian!

The plant took two and a half ice ages to feel fine in my garden.
Cerrado plant do so.
Some plats native to Brazilian Cerrado and some native to Australian Outback
no matter what you do they will perish elsewhere.
These are plants so specialized so adapted to their habitat they literally won´t survive anywhere else. This Dyckia is not such but it took three years for this one to get well acquainted to its new surroundings.

Once I removed this clones.
The first bunch was removed from their mother plant one and a half years ago.
They are just the same. It seems they are deciding if they die now or later.
Not a single new leaf!
Maybe this spring they make up their minds...
