Dyckia beateae

This is an old known baby in spite of being quite a recent finding.
As soon as it was discovered an just after its description it apeared as
for miracle  around the world.
In places where the Sun is poor in terms of sunny hours or Light quality the plant gets into another look. It gets drab and faint and turns itself into a green graceless plant.
This Dyckia species needs a huge amount of UV rays to get colored.
The UV scale goes from  1 at the lowest to 14 at its highest point.
The plant needs UV incidence around 12 or more to get colorful and for a long period of time each day. I use to say that the very same sun that produces skin cancer on you makes this baby happy.
Dyckia beateae is a very colorful Dyckia species.
