Aechmea recurvata growing on rocks....full sun



I am back home.
Our journey was half sunny and half  rainy and a deep cold one .
We found many novelties, including Dyckia reotzii white,a silver white Dyckia retzii!
Dyckia does present variability. science normally and as usual had eyes for one plant only and this one was in most cases one collected by someone who never dared to see anything else. In most cases Dyckias were a side effect finding. People who were searching for cacti, bromeliadae or orchids took one of those bizarre creatures too...
I am back home and this time I will show you many breathtaking pictures.
My friends Dr. Walter Kranz  and Clenilson Souza are here in Joinville and this early morning we shall visit another Dyckia field here nearby. It is cold and freezing cold..frost are present in my garden today...

OK, this is not a Dyckia but we could not resist taking some pictures to show this to you...
